Dr. Sonia Francioni-Vulaj was born in London, England. Dr. Francioni-Vulaj grew up in Florence Italy. In Italy Dr. Francioni attended the American School of Milan in Milan, Italy,. In 1986 Dr. Francioni-Vulaj attended Marymount College of Fordham University in Tarrytown, New York. There she graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Bachelors of Science Degree. Dr. Francioni-Vulaj received her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from the University of Pennsylvania where she graduated top of her class. After Dental School Dr. Francioni-Vulaj went on to complete her Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery specialty training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry, located in Newark, New Jersey.

Dr. Francioni-Vulaj is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology as well as The American Dental Association.

Dr. Francioni-Vulaj has done extensive research and practical experience in the field of maxillofacial surgery. As well as published several articles in medical journals and books. Dr. Francioni-Vulaj performs the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with an emphasis on extraction, bone grafts, implants, and TMJ disorders. She is also certified in Cosmetic Surgery, Botox and Fillers included.

Dr Francioni-Vulaj has been chosen as Top Doctor in New Jersey as well as Top Doctor in Bergen County.

In her free time she enjoys playing tennis, traveling and spending time with her family which include her French bulldogs. Dr. Francioni-Vulaj is glad to be on board with Select Dental Management and looks forward to helping all the offices achieve your dental desires!
